Reynald Philippe has lived and worked in New York since 2009. Influenced by major figures in New York street photography, such as Saul Leiter and Vivian Maier, the author invites us to explore the city through a personal lens. His images capture a New York defined by intense, high-contrast atmospheres, imbued with a cinematic quality that evokes classics like Martin Scorsese’s Mean Streets and Taxi Driver, as well as the introspective aesthetic of Paul Schrader’s Light Sleeper.
