Linen and cotton blanket with stripes and design inspired by Pablo Picasso's manuscripts. "Picasso Succession 2022."

Zara Home is collaborating with the Picasso Foundation in the design of a collection that references the works Picasso created during his long stays in the family home in the south of France, with his daughter Maya as main protagonist.
Although it is not his best known facet, in 1934, Picasso began to write after undergoing several changes in his life. He found a new inspiration and form of expression in writing and discovered in poetry a medium that came as naturally to him as drawing and painting.
Even though his longer texts tended to be in Spanish, he also wrote poetry in French, even mixing the two languages in some of his texts.
Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in Malaga on October 25th, 1881. He was a Spanish painter and sculptor who participated in several artistic movements of the 20th century. He is also considered to be the creator of Cubism together with Georges Braque.
The artist's inspiration comes from other cultures and periods, such as the Iberian, Medieval and African ages. His family played a very important role in his work, as for a period of time, some of his collections were centered on them, with his wife Marie-Thérèse Walter and his daughter Maya being two of his great muses.
His work is exhibited in major international museums such as the Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris.
The artist died in Mougins, France, at the age of 91 and was buried at the Château de Vauvenargues.
