FRANCOIS HALARD ART & FLOWERS BOOK

Renowned for his photography of buildings and interiors, Halard explored new directions after an injury confined him to his home in Arles. Using his Polaroid camera, he captured everyday objects in the Flowers series, where the ephemeral becomes memory. In the Art series, he enlarges Polaroids of Renaissance statues and paintings, adding materials to create layers of history. His work transforms the transient into the enduring and the classical into the contemporary, producing images brimming with emotion and beauty.
